The King County Fire and Life Safety division is dedicated to educating the public in the prevention of injuries, fire, and juvenile fire setting.

Unattended candles are a major cause of deadly fires during the holiday season.  Please do not leave candles unattended, and do not place them near other flammable materials.


General Meetings

Meetings will begin at 10:00 a.m. on the first Thursday of every other month. Meetings will be held at the Mercer Island Fire Department (3030 78 Avenue SE), unless otherwise noted. If the Mercer Island Fire parking lot is full, there is additional parking across the street.

Special Interest Meetings

Committee and/or Special Interest Meetings are scheduled for even months at the Mercer Island Fire Department (3030 78 AVE SE) at 10:00 a.m. Updates and announcement regarding these meeting will be sent via email.
